YTL will be hosting for the fourth consecutive year Climate Change Week from June 19 27 2010 designed specifically with the objective of raising environmental consciousness amongst Malaysians as well as inspire them to be part of the solution to the urgent issue of global warming.

Themed Sustainable Living in the City the event will feature a series of activities to be held at Lot 10 Forest in the City setting an example of YTL s commitment to sustainable living within the city. Climate Change Week 2010 s series of activities will focus on showing Malaysians how easy it is to go green and guiding them towards taking action.

10.00 am 19th June Climate Change Week Kids for Earth Workshop

Workshop to start kids (7-12 years old) on sustainable habits especially in school

10.00 am 19th June Climate Change Week Eco Heaven

Features vendors of used books pre-loved fashion items products from recycled materials such as baskets weaved from used magazines bags made from pull tabs kitchenware made from rice husks etc.

A series of demos such as low-energy cooking compost and enzyme making and organic farming at home and in condos.

2.00 pm 19th June Book Launch Billy the Plastic Bag

A book depicting a day in the life of a plastic bag as told by siblings Gabriel & Raphaelle Tseng 14 and 11 year old.

Official launch of the National Geographic Store KL

National Geographic will be opening their third store worldwide and its first in Kuala Lumpur. The store in Malaysia is after its two flagship stores in London and Singapore.

23rd June Video launch Climate Change Week Eco Tips

A series of green tips produced by Sheikh Munasar aka Moon and hosted by celebrated greenie Maya Karin to show Malaysians the simple things they can do to go green in their homes. A contest will be launched for a 4th video.

Climate Change Week Eco Sculptures

Philip Wong from ArtSeni Gallery Starhill Gallery will be building two exclusive eco sculptures to be displayed in Lot 10.
